O.M.G. T.G.I.F. Seriously! I’m worn out from the week, what about you? Ready for the weekend? Yeah, me too. Here are a few shots of our little home and the first bouquet of peonies Jon has ever given me! To tell you just how ridiculous I am, I e-mailed Jon last year when peony season came around with photographs attached, naturally, and mentioned it a few more times, but he never quite got around to getting them for me. Well a few weeks ago I made the decision to finally get baptized (I’ve been a Christian since I was 15, but didn’t decide to make the public profession of faith until recently) so Jon kindly surprised me with this bouquet of peonies and hydrangeas. Beautiful, right? What was even cooler was having my husband baptize me. It was a memorable time for us and it was such a special time to glorify the Lord and what He’s done in my life and hopefully encourage others with my testimony.
Have a great weekend friends. I hope you are encouraged this weekend and I hope you consider encouraging and loving other well this weekend too. If you’re feeling down, ask someone to buy you some peonies. Can’t go wrong with fresh spring flowers!

Jon is so sweet! I’ve been buying peonies from the farmer’s market whenever I see them, but lilacs are my favorite (though they’re pricey right now). I wonder what I’d have to do to get a guy to buy me those…
And congrats on your baptism. I think that’s a really special moment, especially since Jon did it.

Viven, that is awesome news! Happy re-birth day! What a wonderful moment to have your husband baptize you into the faith.
Also, that is YOUR HOUSE?!?!?! It’s like the cover of a magazine. You’ve got mad skillz.

Lovely set-up (the rest of your house must be equally lovely, I am sure), and I love hydrangeas and peonies. Sounds like you have a keeper.

I’ve stopped subtle hints about flowers and now just blantantly ask for them! Got red roses last week so that tactic clearly works! But peonies?? Sooooooo swweeeettt! Can I also just say how much I adore your screen (it is a screen right?) behind the flowers! I am swooning over it big time! Have a good weekend!

This little nook in your apartment looks so amazing! Like it came straight out of a magazine. 🙂
Your hubby is such a sweetie, isn’t he? The flowers are pretty and brightened up my night.

Congrats on the baptism! I’m going to a baby’s baptism this weekend, so it’ll be special to witness.
Have a wonderful weekend, Vivien!! 🙂
P.S. I laughed when I saw your comment! Mardy lives 10 minutes away from here, here in Southern CA 🙂 We just like to go to Mexico a lot, since it’s right over the border!

peonies are on of my favorite flowers. i love ones that can stand up on their own + take up space with big petal filled heads. it’s always a sign spring has arrived. beautiful. fresh flowers are one of the best weekend indulgences.
