A little sneak peek! + Wed Dress Blog + Forage Bow Tie
The bow tie is one of those accessories I’ve always wanted Jon to like, but he could never really appreciate. Luckily, times have changed and he’s come to understand the beauty of the bow tie. The square photo above with the red bow tie is indeed my goofy husband. I wanted to give a little sneak peek of an awesome photo shoot were involved in and I’m looking forward to sharing more in the near future (shout out Catie!).
More than anything I think I love the nostalgic time that bow times represent. Gotta love that they’re totally making a come back and they’re likely here to stay (I’ll thank Something’s Hiding Here for their significant contribution). I can’t even say I really have a favorite amongst these bow ties pictured above because they each offer a different personality that I love. Maybe I’m partial to the last photo since the model is eating a large soft pretzel and I could totally go for one, oh I don’t know, anytime day or night?
Which bow tie is your favorite? Do you prefer bow ties or ties on men? With a soft pretzel or another comparable carnival treat?

Jon doesn’t like bow ties? But he’d look so perfectly cute in one! I’ve never dated a guy I’ve been able to get a bow tie on but maybe I’ll luck out some day. Just please stop me if you ever see me try to put a bow tie on one of my cats. That’ll be a sign that I need an intervention.

Love bow ties, but I haven’t gotten my fiance to come around yet. You will need to tell me how you managed to convince Jon!

I pesonally prefer ties, but I think the bow tie is perfect for certain occassions. Plus, I do enjoy that they’re making a comeback…variety is the spice of life!

I prefer ties. An occasional, tasteful, bow tie is a nice touch, mostly at weddings and such events. But recently I saw one that was worn at a ridiculous time. I struggled not to burst into laughter, as it was obvious the person was trying to be serious. The guy was wearing it, attempting to pull off a business/casual look. Disaster… I couldn’t take him seriously.

So stylish! Though I’m with everyone else who commented that bow ties are more for a special occasion that everyday wear. Only in the South could you maybe get away with daily wear. And only if you’re an interesting character with a lot of personality!

I love love love bow ties! I just wish Nick would wear them more.. He is more of a tie person. But maybe I’ll remove all the ties from his closet and replace them with bow ties! 😉 Happy Tuesday friend.

I’m all about the bow tie for black-tie events but as an everday item? Nah. Saying that, I do work with a few guys who pull this look off! It gives them that cute quirky academic look!

my BF is a tie kind of guy but I think bow ties are cute too! I esp. like the plaid one, top right hand corner. I’ve always wanted to put a bow tie on my future puppy too 😉

Thanks for your comment on my seersucker post!
I think I prefer ties, but I really love them both! Done well, a bow tie is adorable! (I know, I know, no grown up man wants to be called adorable, but oh well, sometimes they just are!)

Bow ties are a great idea….I didn’t think a casual bow tie existed, but somehow it works.
